Parent involvement is crucial to student academic success. The Parent and Student Portal is a tool for you to stay informed and engaged in your child’s education. It provides parents and guardians with the information needed to access Attendance, Grades, Assignments, Schedule, Contact Info, and more. Please contact the front office if you have any questions.

ParentVUE and StudentVUE is a wonderful tool to monitor the progress of a student’s education. It provides parents and students with the latest information about attendance and grades, as well as show the upcoming school deadlines and events.  Click here for additional details.

We’ve implemented Office 365 which provides our students with a collaborative system to effectively communicate via email with teachers and other students while also providing hands on experience with tools utilized in the workforce.

High school students participate in advanced placement courses and they receive iPads to access online textbooks along with other collaborative, productivity tools like Microsoft Office.  Click here for a list of high school courses that leverage online textbooks. Students, please contact the appropriate teacher as needed for login information.



The expectation is that all students will attend school each day barring serious or contagious illness or emergency. Please notify the front office by 8:00 AM if a child will not be in attendance by calling the office or by clicking here to fill out the online absent form.  Absences must be called in within 24 hours of the absence.


Lunch Program

We are excited to announce that Nutrition One has again been contracted as the lunch caterer for the 2016-2017 school year.  Parents have an opportunity to apply for the Free & Reduced Meal Program however please plan accordingly as applications can take up to 10 days.

Tuesday Newsletter

In an effort to maintain strong communication, the school uses a Tuesday Newsletter system, but the process varies by grade level.  Each Tuesday, the school will electronically submit newsletter information to the students and parents via email.  Click here for additional details.

Health Center

DHPA has a designated health center area that can be used to triage and address medical situations, but a school nurse is not on staff. Click here for additional information regarding the Health Center and review the Student & Parent Handbook for all health policies and procedures.


College & Career Preparation

We focus on preparing all of our students for college & career readiness in several aspects. From taking Cornell notes, building resumes, learning interview skills, providing community service hours, learning how to apply for scholarships, taking tours of local colleges and much more.
